About This Blog

Sanctuary. A place of serenity. A place to live, love, learn and grow.

Respect the land and its inhabitants, respect each other and respect ourselves with compassion and generosity of spirit.

We give to and work with our lands to allow for more growth and prosperity and an eye toward the future. We are rewarded for our efforts with fruits and vegetables that feed us and our animals, honey, grapes and berries for wine and mead, deer for meat, bones and leather, and a basic joy for life that permeates our home.

KnightHearth is blessed as a part of a growing community of like-minded individuals who value friendships built on respect. We choose to honor those friends as chosen family for whom we will provide support and stand by however possible. We gather together to share ideas, share work toward a common goal, have a good time and simply enjoy life. As a community, we help each other with large projects such as fencing to protect animals and property, erecting and roofing buildings, cutting in roads through the forests, and others. We exchange labor, supplies, food and love all around as necessary because we all need something at sometime. Sharing is much more satisfying than hoarding.

My name is Joslin, though I answer to several: Lady Knight, DoggieMama, DenMother, Babe or Darling from my hubby,  and Eemuff or Mow from the kids. My days are filled with the loving and adventurous antics of our four-legged fur babies, hand crafting whatever interests me, cooking and baking, tending the gardens and orchard, and best of all, simply enjoying this life experience with my wonderful husband. I have a deep and abiding love for all things Earth and Universe -related, as well as dogs, dog-training, and natural/holistic health and healing.

This blog is to express all of this to anyone who has any interest or curiosity, though mostly just to record my thoughts, interests and projects. I enjoy learning about my world and those around me as much as anything, so  I encourage all comments and suggestions to my posts. I believe that together we can grow faster. Learning from each other is helpful, can be exciting, and is way more preferable to stumbling on in the dark alone. So experience with me, share with me, enjoy with me. Love life and live it!

Blessed Be

I think the one thing that I can appreciate about WordPress is the fact that there are communities like these, and people who seek to create friendships, to tell stories as they work to help and converse with each other.

I’m proud to be a follower, and I greatly appreciate the fact that you took the time to stop by my blog!

    Have a great day,
    -Daniel

Belated hello from Türkiye… just wanted to say “thank you”, I appreciate your recent ‘follow’, knowing how many interesting and entertaining blogs there are out there. It’s been a while I know, but a storm knocked out our village internet and phone, hence the delay!

Blogging since June 2013, my little corner of the world tries to offer an eclectic smattering of posts, from basic amateur photography, to sharing my travel adventures over the decades, as well as day-to-day happenings here on our fruit farm in southern Turkey. I also throw in a few of my observations on life and lighter-hearted stuff for good measure.

You are more than welcome to have a look around, stay a while and have a trawl through my collection. There are plenty of categories within the drop-down menus to help in said digging process.

Hope you have a great day…
